Game Overview

Elektris is a retro-style Tetris game developed by Pixel Prophecy. It faithfully recreates the visuals and sounds of the original 1984 Tetris created by Alexey Pajitnov on the Elektronika 60 mainframe computer.

The game was completely rewritten in GameMaker Studio 2, meticulously restoring the vintage green-screen terminal experience, making players feel as if they have returned to the Soviet computing era.

You can play directly in your browser, or download the Windows version for better performance and extra features.

To preserve the authenticity of the original experience, the developer has intentionally avoided adding modern quality-of-life features.

The interface is in Russian, but you can easily play without reading any text.

Controls

Before starting, enter a number from 0–9 as your starting level, then press Enter to begin.

Basic Controls:

Move Left: Numpad 7 or [A], ←

Move Right: Numpad 9 or [D], →

Rotate Counterclockwise: Numpad 8 or [W], ↑

Hard Drop: Numpad 5 or [Space], [X]

Toggle Piece Preview: Numpad 1 or [P]

Increase Level (Speed Up): Numpad 4 or [U]

Hide Legend: Numpad 0 or [H]

Toggle Background Noise: [Tab]

Interface

The upper-left corner of the game screen displays three lines of information:

1. Number of lines cleared
2. Current level
3. Score

When your score exceeds 1000 points, the counter resets to zero and a symbol (¤) appears underneath. Each symbol represents 1000 points.

Rules

The game ends when the stack of blocks reaches the ceiling and no more pieces can fall.

At that point, the game will ask for your name — press Enter to confirm:

• If you enter a name, your score will be saved on the leaderboard.
• If you press Enter without typing, your score won’t be saved, but the leaderboard will still appear.

Note: Scores in the web version are not saved after closing or reloading the page.

Continue & Exit

After Game Over, the system will ask if you want to continue:

• In the browser version, pressing any key returns to the main menu.
• In the Windows version, pressing any key other than “N” (or “Н”) will return to the title screen.

To exit the game, press ESC on the title screen or click the window’s X button.
